Schyroka Balka ( Ukrainian Широка Балка ; Russian Широкая Балка Schirokaja Balka ) is a village in the west of the Ukrainian Oblast of Kherson with about 2500 inhabitants.

The Dnieper Bug Liman near Sofiyivka

Shyroka Balka was founded in 1856 and is the administrative center of the district council of the same name , which also includes the village of Sofijiwka with around 530 inhabitants.

The village is located in the Biloserka district on the T-15-01 territorial road on the right (northern) bank of the Dnieper-Bug-Limans , the mouth of the Dnieper into the Black Sea . The district center of Biloserka is located 22 km east of Shyroka Balka.
