Scipione Sersale

Scipione Sersale (born January 1691 in Cosenza , † July 11, 1751 in Lecce ) was an Italian Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Lecce .

Life

He was baptized on January 18, 1691 in his native city of Cosenza. He was ordained priest on January 6, 1714.

Scipione Sersale was appointed Bishop of Sora on June 27, 1735 . The episcopal ordination donated him on July 3 of the same year in Rome by the Cardinal Bishop of Sabina Annibale Albani ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishops of the Curia Giovanni Battista Ariberti CO and Giuseppe Maria Perrimezzi OM . On February 13, 1744 Scipione Sersale was appointed Bishop of Lecce.

He died at the age of 60 in the episcopate and was buried in the cathedral of Lecce.
