Scott Dixon (born July 9, 1994 ) is a British biathlete .
Career
Scott Dixon contested his first international race at the 2012 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti, Finland . His best result was a 44th place in the pursuit race, which the later overall World Cup winner, world champion and Olympic champion Johannes Thingnes Bø won. This was followed by appearances in the second-class IBU Cup before taking part in his first World Cup race in Oberhof in January 2013 . With four shooting errors he was classified as penultimate in the sprint and thus clearly missed the points and the qualification for the pursuit race.
The 2015/16 season became Dixon's first full World Cup season. On November 28th, he started in the IBU World Cup in Idre, where he finished 67th in the 10km sprint. Just a week later he was back in the British World Cup line-up and took part in the season opener in Östersund. In the sprint he finished 97th, in the individual 100th place. After that he also contested all other World Cups. In Hochfilzen he again only achieved 94th place in the sprint. In the season taking place on these days he finished 26th with the British squad. At the pre-Christmas World Cup on the Pokljuka, he finished 81st in the sprint. At the replacement World Cup in Ruhpolding, which took place in the new year, he did not get beyond 102nd place in the sprint; however, he was able to achieve a 73rd place in the individual. Shortly before the end of the month he also went to the stand in Antholz-Anterselva. In the 10km sprint he was only 106th, with the relay he did not get past 25th place. In Canmore, Canada, for the next World Cup, he was once again represented in the sprint. Since he reached the 88th place. At the Biathlon World Championships on Holmenkollen, he competed in sprints and individual races. He finished the 10km course in 30: 13.8 minutes, which gave him 91st place. On the double distance over 20km he reached the 89th place.
In the 2016/2017 season he first took part in the single mixed relay in Östersund, where his team was overtaken and thus taken out of the race.
