Scott Michael Kevorken (born February 16, 1991 in Tarzana ) is an American volleyball player .

Career

Kevorken began his career at West Lake High School. From 2007 to 2009 he also played for the Pacific Palisades club. With the US national youth and junior teams, the middle blocker won the NORCECA championship in 2008 and 2010 . In 2010 he began his studies at UC Irvine . In 2011 he reached fourth place with the US Juniors at the World Cup in Brazil. With the university team, Kevorken became NCAA champions in 2012 and 2013 . In 2014 he was signed by the German Bundesliga promoted SVG Lüneburg . With the North Germans he reached the final in the DVV Cup and the playoff semi-finals in the 2014/15 season ; in both cases Lüneburg had to admit defeat to VfB Friedrichshafen . In the following season the SVG reached the semi-finals with Kevorken in the DVV Cup and in the Bundesliga playoffs . In 2017, Kevorken moved to VfB Friedrichshafen and won the cup in 2018 . For the 2018/19 season he signed a contract with the French champions Tours Volley-Ball . For personal reasons, however, he withdrew from the contract in August 2018.

Kevorken was appointed to the American national team in 2014 and was used at the 2014 Pan America Cup; the team lost in the final against Cuba .
