Scott Lynch (2017)

Scott Lynch (born April 2, 1978 in Saint Paul , Minnesota ) is an American fantasy author.

His first work The Lies of Locke Lamora (German: Die Lügen des Locke Lamora ) was published in June 2006, the sequel Red Seas Under Red Skies (German: Storm over red waters ) followed in July 2007. The books are the first two in a series about the gentleman bastards ; a total of seven books are planned.

Since 2006 the author has published the online novel Queen of the Iron Sands on his homepage . A total of 7 chapters have been published so far.

Lynch's books have been translated into numerous languages, including a. they were published in German by Heyne Verlag .

Reviews and awards

The reviews of The Lies of Locke Lamora were mostly positive. The book reached 2nd place in the First Novel category at the Locus Awards 2007. In 2008 it received the Sydney J. Bounds Award for best newcomer
