Sean Michael Maurice Taylor (* 1. April 1983 in Miami , Florida ; † 27. November 2007 ) was an American American football poker players on the position of the Free Safety's . He played for the Washington Redskins in the National Football League (NFL) from 2004 until his death .

Taylor previously played college football for the University of Miami team . He was selected by the Redskins in 2004 as the fifth player in the first round of the NFL Draft . Taylor was known for his tough tackles . His teammates jokingly called him “Meast”, a suitcase word from “helped one, helped beast” .

After he was shot by burglars in his Miami home, Taylor died on November 27, 2007 of the consequences of severe blood loss, leaving behind his girlfriend and daughter, who were both unharmed in the break-in.
