The Seathwaite Tarn is a reservoir in the Lake District , Cumbria , England .

The Seathwaite Tarn is a natural lake that was dammed between 1904 and 1907 by the construction of a dam to provide drinking water for Barrow-in-Furness . The lake is south of the Gray Friar and north of the Seathwaite Fells on the edge of the Duddon Valley and north of the village of Seathwaite .

Due to the 366 m long dam, the lake reaches a depth of 28 m.

The Tarn Beck , which flows into the River Duddon , forms its drain.
