Sebastián Martínez , full name Sebastián Rodrigo Martínez Aguirre , (born April 11, 1983 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.86 meter tall defensive player Martínez was at the beginning of his career from 2001 to the end of 2003 in the ranks of the Sud América team . In 2004 he was a member of the Plaza Colonias squad and was used 16 times (no goal) in the Primera División . From 2005 to the end of January 2009 he played for the Club Atlético Cerro . For the Montevideans he played 72 league games and scored two goals - in the absence of available statistics, ignoring the 2006/07 season. He then worked for Godoy Cruz until July 2010 . With the Argentines he ran in 29 first division games and scored one goal. He then moved to Quilmes AC on loan . He stayed with the club from the city of the same name until February 2015 and played in 99 league encounters (five goals) and three games (no goal) of the Copa Argentina during this period . Until July 2015 he continued his career with Newell's Old Boys , but only completed three top division games (no goal) for the club from Rosario . A move to Atlético de Rafaela followed . There are 15 appearances in the Primera División and one in the national cup competition for him across the seasons . He could not show a personal goal at this station. At the end of July 2016, the Argentinos Juniors signed him . For the club from the Barrio La Paternal in Bonaren , he has played 24 games in the Primera B Nacional so far (as of July 16, 2017) and scored one goal.
