Sebastian Borger
Sebastian Borger (* 1964 in Kronach ) is a German journalist and author .
Life
From 1987 to 1988, Sebastian Borger attended the Henri Nannen School under the first headmaster Wolf Schneider .
From 1989 Borger was a police reporter for the Munich evening newspaper . In 1991 he switched to Spiegel , for which he worked in Hamburg and Dresden. In 1995 he moved to London , where he studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science until 1998 . From 1998 until its closure in 2007 he worked for the Swiss news magazine Facts , from 2010 to 2012 he was a correspondent for the Financial Times Deutschland and until 2014 he wrote for the political magazine Cicero .
Today he works as an independent consultant and London correspondent. He writes for the Berliner Zeitung , the Frankfurter Rundschau , the Wiener Standard and Swiss regional newspapers , among others . He is also regularly featured in Spiegel Geschichte with articles on various topics. He is occasionally invited by the BBC as a guest commentator on German-British and international topics.
Borger is the brother of the writer Martina Borger and a descendant of Balthasar Crusius .
