Sebastian Brandner (born February 8, 1983 in Bludenz ) is a former Austrian football goalkeeper .

Career

Brandner began his career at Dornbirner SV . In 2001 he moved to the first division for FC Lustenau 07 . He made his debut in the derby against SC Austria Lustenau . In 2004 he moved to the capital club SV Donau Wien . After playing there for three years, he moved to city rivals First Vienna FC 1894 in 2006 , with whom he achieved promotion to professional football in 2009. After being out of a club for three months in 2010, he was signed by league rivals SCR Altach . After he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2014 , he made his Bundesliga debut on matchday 34 in 2014/15 against SV Ried .

After the end of his career, he briefly helped out in October 2016 as a substitute goalkeeper for the Altach amateur team.

Coaching career

For the 2016/17 season he ended his career as a player and took over the post of goalkeeper coach at SCR Altach .
