Sebastian Ernst Klaus Dietz (born February 25, 1985 in Worms ) is a German discus thrower .

Life

Dietz played in the first soccer team as a goalkeeper at VfL Neustadt until 2004 . On February 27, 2004, he had an accident in a car and crashed head-on into oncoming traffic, the driver of the vehicle in oncoming traffic succumbed to his injuries. Dietz sustained serious injuries that made him unable to walk at first. Thanks to intensive rehabilitation measures, he was able to walk again after eleven weeks. With the help of Wojtek Czyz , he switched to TV Wattenscheid and trained in the disabled sports department. He was active in discus throwing and the shot put and each set national records. In 2007 Dietz coached the D and C youth teams in football.

As a member of BSG Bad Oeynhausen e. V. Dietz won the gold medal in the discus throw (F35 / 36) with 38.54 m at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London . At the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, he won the gold medal in the shot put (F36) with a distance of 14.84 m.

In July 2016 Dietz took part in the RTL show Ninja Warrior Germany - The strongest show in Germany .
