Sebastian Kolbe

Sebastian Kolbe (* 1978 in Nuremberg ) is a German law scholar and professor at the University of Bremen .

Life

From 1998 Kolbe studied law at the Universities of Passau and Munich . In 2003 he passed his first state examination in law in Munich and passed his second state examination in 2005 after completing his legal clerkship at the Munich Higher Regional Court . In 2009 Kolbe completed his doctorate in Munich under the supervision of Bruno Rimmelspacher. iur. from. In 2012 he completed his habilitation under the supervision of Volker Rieble and received the Venia legendi for the subjects civil law, labor law and civil procedural law.

This was followed by substitute professorships at the universities of Düsseldorf , Heidelberg , Bochum , Osnabrück , Ingolstadt , Bremen and a visiting professorship at the Free University of Berlin from 2012 . Since the winter semester 2016/17 he has held the full professorship for civil law and labor law at the University of Bremen.

Kolbe's main research interests are in collective labor law, especially co-determination law, as well as general German and European labor law. In addition, he has made comments on the standards of the GewO , youth labor protection and European worker protection guidelines.
