Bruno Rimmelspacher

Bruno Rimmelspacher (born October 11, 1938 in Forchheim / Baden ) is a German lawyer , university professor and civil lawyer .

Life

Bruno Rimmelspacher studied law in Heidelberg, Munich and Hamburg from 1957. He passed the state law exams in 1961 and 1966. His dissertation (1964) and habilitation (1969) with Wolfram Henckel at the University of Göttingen dealt with topics of civil procedural law . In 1969 he was offered a full professorship at Bielefeld University . In 1973 he changed to a chair for civil procedural law, civil law and voluntary jurisdiction at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 2006 he retired.

In the early 1970s, Rimmelspacher was Vice-Rector of Bielefeld University and from 1971 to 1973 also a judge at the Hamm Higher Regional Court .

Rimmelspacher's writings deal with issues of civil law, in particular civil procedural law. In the run-up to the legal reform of the civil process in 2001, he carried out an actual legal investigation on the function and structure of the appeal procedure in civil proceedings on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Justice . In 2008, together with Burkhard Hess and Fabian Reuschle , Rimmelspacher published the Cologne Commentary on the Investor Model Law.

According to SPIEGEL , Rimmelspacher was “valued for his good exam preparation” in university teaching.

The since 2006 entpflichtete Professor belongs to the Supervisory Board the power Ismaning GmbH and is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), for which he in Ismaning as Deputy Group spokesman in the council sits and whose Ismaninger local association he is on the board.

Rimmelspacher is widowed and has three children.
