Sebastian Netz (born September 10, 1980 in Herten ) is a guitarist and songwriter who plays in various jazz and rock bands. Since 2008 he has been guitarist in Thomas Godoj's band , whom he has since accompanied on all of his television and radio appearances. He is co-owner of a music school.

Musical career

After preliminary studies at the Open Jazzhausschule in Cologne at André Nendza Sebastian network moved to the Conservatorium Maastricht / Netherlands to study jazz guitar and music education.

Guitarist with Thomas Godoj

In May 2008 the band Thomas Godoj was founded by the singer of the same name. Since then Sebastian Netz has been a permanent member of the band and was involved in the studio recordings for the albums Plan A! (Platinum Edition), direction G and the live recordings of Live ausm Pott . As a songwriter he could with the song Everything that does not exist and a piece of eternity contribute. Both songs were co-written by former band and are located on the album direction G . The song A Piece of Eternity was rewritten by them for the 2010 soccer World Cup as the World Cup song Hand on Heart .

Bass player with Brothers in Arms

Sebastian Netz has also been a permanent member of the Dire Straits tribute band "Brothers in Arms" as bass player since January 2018. This is one of the most successful tribute bands in Germany and was also the first Dire Straits tribute band in Europe when it was founded in 2002 .
