Live ausm Pott is the first live album of Thomas Godoj . It was recorded in Recklinghausen at the beginning of December 2011 during the tour for his third studio album So wollt . The album was released on April 20, 2012 in different versions.

Emergence

During several largely sold out tours through concert halls and music clubs, some of the concerts were already recorded, which the audience could then purchase as USB sticks or later as a download. The songs in the live version are always rockier than the album version and are usually introduced by special intros. The audience, but also Thomas Godoj, had a great desire after the three studio albums Plan A! , Direction G and So wanted to finally record a live album. On two days of the concert, in addition to the sound recordings, the events on and in front of the stage were filmed with five cameras. Thomas Godoj then viewed and edited the entire material together with Wolf-Armin Lange from Madbox Film und Fernsehproduktion GmbH, Oberreifenberg / Taunus. It was important to him that the film should not only reflect the events on stage but also the entire atmosphere. On the DVD, a history tour directed by the photographer and filmmaker Peter Kallwitz also offers a look behind the scenes and shows stations in Godoj's career.

These live recordings are available in four variants. In addition to the live CD and the live DVD, there is also a deluxe box which contains the live DVD as well as a shortened live CD and the studio album So willingly . A limited edition super deluxe box was available exclusively from the fan shop, which contained a piece of jewelry. A goldsmith saw up Godoj's micro stand and made 100 necklaces from it.

The cover shows Thomas Godoj's silhouette photographed from the back of the stage at the beginning of the concert. He wears the oversized paper mache helmet from the So Willing album on his head. On the left of the picture is the Godoj logo in red, running to one side. The background of the cover is the screen, onto which an old television was projected the size of the stage at the beginning of the concert, the image of which only showed the TV noise after the program ended. Nils Eichmann is responsible for this as well as for the design and illustration of the entire booklet. The booklet itself contains many photos (photographer Alex Musial) of the individual musicians that were taken in the backstage area during the filming, recordings of the events on stage during the concert and together with fans.

The Superdeluxe Box should live up to its name, also be something special and has therefore been given a completely unique design. A photo of Alex Musial, who also took the photos for the other versions of Live ausm Pott , was used for the cover . However, this photo was digitally processed by Nils Eichmann into a kind of "stamp" so that it looks like a drawing to the viewer. The image background corresponds to the backdrop of the stage design of the So gewollt tour, which was also revised by Nils Eichmann. Each Superdeluxe box was also hand-signed by Thomas Godoj.

The order of the tracks is based on the set list as it was played at most of the concerts on the So gewollt tour.

After an intro and the concert opener So wollt , all songs from the album So wollt from 2011 follow . These are supplemented by his previously released album releases Heroes wanted , Not alone and Clock without hours , as well as Autopilot , for which a video was shot in November 2008 and ran on VIVA Germany for a few weeks . Liebe zur Sonne was played live for the first time on October 18, 2008 as part of the Gwiazd concert in Essen and was published in November 2009 as a bonus track for the single Not alone on musicload . This song, which comes from his musical past with the band Wink, was a highlight at all of his concerts.
