Sebastian Sorsa (born January 25, 1984 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish football player . The defender is currently under contract with HJK Helsinki .

Career

As a club player

Sorsa began his football career with clubs in his hometown Helsinki, including PK-35 Vantaa and FC Jokerit . From the local U19 he joined the U19 of the HJK Helsinki at the turn of the year 2001/02 . In 2004 he got his first professional contract with the club. In 2006 he won the Finnish Football Cup with the team . After three years and 83 appearances in the Veikkausliiga , Sorsa moved to Leeds United . After only half a year there without an assignment for Leeds, he moved to Hamilton Academical , where he only played two games. in January 2009 he came back to HJK Helsinki. With the team he won the Finnish championship title in 2009. He repeated this success in 2010 and 2011. In 2015 he won the Finnish League Cup with the team .

As a national player

Sorsa played for the Finnish U-21 national team between 2005 and 2007 . On 18 January 2010 he made his debut in the senior national team in a friendly against South Korea .
