Sebastijan Pregelj (born July 29, 1970 in Ljubljana ) is a Slovenian writer .
Since 1991 Pregelj has published in literary magazines. He is the author of six novels and four volumes of short prose. So far, four novels have been shortlisted for the Kresnik Prize (best novel of the year). Three novels have so far been published in German translation. His works have also been translated into English, Slovak and Polish.
In collaboration with Gašper Troha he is a literary guide through his hometown (Literarne poti Ljubljane / Literary trails of Ljubljana / Literary trails of Ljubljana).
A series of stories for young readers has been created since 2014. Stories from the end of the Stone Age take place in the era of pile-dwelling, the adventures of the ghost Babujan and his friends in the present.
Sebastijan Pregelj lives and works in Ljubljana.
