The Sechrist Peak is a 1350 m high secondary peak of the Mount Murphy massif in the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It rises from the south-western ridge of the massif.
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after Frank S. Sechrist, American exchange scientist at the Soviet Molodjoschnaja station in 1975 year.
