Niscayah (formerly Securitas Systems) was a manufacturer-independent partner for security for companies with demanding security needs. The company, which has been listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange since September 29, 2006 , was founded in 2001 as the security technology division of the security group Securitas AB , which is also based in Sweden .

Niscayah AB had subsidiaries in 14 countries in Europe, in the USA and in Asia and employed 5,400 people. In 2010 the annual turnover was 755 million euros.

On September 9, 2011, Niscayah was taken over by the American company Stanley Black & Decker .

Niscayah is Sanskrit and means security and reliability. The logo is intended to represent a hand protecting an underlying space. The font is similar to the lettering of the former Securitas Systems.

Niscayah Germany

Niscayah Germany was founded in 2003 as a division of Securitas Germany under the name Securitas Systems and was represented nationwide with 500 employees at numerous locations. The technical core areas were

  • Intrusion alarm systems
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Access control systems
  • Video surveillance systems and
  • Alarm management systems.

Niscayah Germany had its own VdS-certified (classes A, B, C) emergency call and service control center (NSL) in Frankfurt .

2003 Foundation of Securitas Systems Germany

2003 Takeover of the company Südalarm Wachtel in Filderstadt and its subsidiary Südalarm Elnaton in Munich

2004 Takeover of the company Struck & Partner, Rostock in Germany, Bell Group plc. in England and Eurotelis in France

2005 Acquisition of Hamilton Pacific in the USA

2006 System separates from Securitas, becomes an independent company and is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange on September 29th . In addition, Securitas Systems reached an agreement to take over CIS Spa and thus expanded into the Italian market. In addition, a takeover agreement is concluded with Larmassistens AB.

2007 Takeover of the company F + H electronic, Münster (Westphalia) and PEI Systems Inc in England and completion of the takeover of CIS Spa and Larmassistens AB.

2008 Takeover of G4S Sicherheitssysteme GmbH, the security technology division of G4S Germany.

2008 Renamed to Niscayah on April 28th.

2011 On May 16, Securitas AB in Sweden submitted a public takeover offer for Niscayah.

2011 On June 27th, Stanley Black & Decker outbid Securitas AB's offer

2011 On September 9th, Niscayah was taken over by the American company Stanley Black & Decker.
