Sechemkasedj (also Sechemka-sedj or Sechem-ka-sedj ) was a high Egyptian official who held office under various rulers in the 1st Dynasty ( early Dynasty ).
supporting documents
As seal rolls from the Abydos tomb of King Djer prove, he began his career under this ruler. At that time he was probably the “administrator of the royal domains ” ( adj-mer-wadj-Hor ) of the Wadji . Under Wadji he became the “head” ( cherep ) of this facility and was probably the most important official at the royal court. His name appeared next to the king's name on many objects. Sedjesechemka's tenure probably ended in the first years of Den's reign , when his mother Meritneith ruled. Now he was administrator of another royal domain ( adj-mer-hor-sixenti-dju ).
