Seebach Valley (Friuli-Venezia Giulia)

The valley of the Gailitz above Tarvisio is known as the Seebachtal (Italian Val del Rio del Lago ) . It is located in the western Julian Alps and is a side valley of the Channel Valley .

Looking into the valley, it leads from Tarvisio first to the south, then to the west to the Nevea saddle . The only larger settlement in the valley is the former mining town of Raibl ( Cave del Predil ; Slov. Rabelj ). The Raibler See is located above Raibl . The Gailitz flows through the valley . The inner valley, the valley of the Rio del Lago , is called the Raiblertal .

In the side valleys there are numerous testimonies of the mountain front of the First World War .
