Seedorf (Pentling)

Seedorf is a district of the municipality Pentling in the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg on the Poign district .

In the vernacular, the place is also called Haid or Obere Haid (= Obere Heide) because of its location on the Hohengebrachinger Heide and the mostly low annual rainfall . Seedorf has 63 inhabitants (as of 2004): Under 15 years: 9.5%; 16–49 years: 69.9%; 50–99 years: 20.6%.

The place consists of 14 houses, including six farms, making it the second smallest village in the municipality. Seedorf does not have its own fire brigade, but has a partnership with the Poign volunteer fire brigade .

The 101 bus runs from Seedorf to Neutraubling . There is no direct bus connection to Regensburg.

Geographical location

Seedorf is located in the southern district of Regensburg, approx. 12 km from the city of Regensburg and 3 km from Markt Bad Abbach . The place borders on the districts of Poign and Hohengebraching.

history

Seedorf was first mentioned in 1723. In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , Seedorf came to the municipality of Pentling in 1978 when the municipality of Poign was dissolved.
