The intersection between Messeschnellweg and Südschnellweg in Hanover , designed like a motorway junction , is called Seelhorster Kreuz or Seelhorster Juncture . It is named after the Seelhorst forest area , which is located south of the crossroads.
The cross is conveniently located in the southeast of the city and connects the federal highways 3 , 6 and 65 . The B 3 leads straight ahead from the north to the west, the B 6 from the south and the B 65 from the east. This means that three federal highways run together to the next junction, the Landwehr roundabout in the south-west of Hanover.
At particularly heavily frequented trade fairs such as CeBIT and the Hanover Fair , traffic on the Messeschnellweg is routed to and from the exhibition grounds as one-way traffic on both lanes, which also affects the Seelhorster Kreuz. For this purpose, barriers and dynamic traffic signs are attached to the driveways.
