The Seelig peak is 1,346 m high and unvereister mountain near the Shackleton Coast of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It is the highest point of the Campbell Hills on the southern flank of the Nimrod Glacier . It rises 4 km northwest of Mount Christchurch .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named him in 2005 after Walter R. Seelig (1919-2005), representative of the National Science Foundation in Christchurch during eleven campaigns of the United States Antarctic Research Program from 1971 to 1986.
