The water lily is a classic class of dinghies that was created on Dümmer in the 1950s .

In principle, the water lily is a 15 m² P-dinghy cruiser without a cabin superstructure. This makes the water lily a relatively light and fast dinghy that can be comfortably sailed with five people. The water lily is made of solid wood (oak frames, mahogany) as well as molded plywood or glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) with a wooden deck. The water lilies from the typical solid wood epoch (1950s and 1960s) had a width above sea level of 2.25 m. The boatyard Fricke & Dannhus am Dümmer still produces this classic class of dinghies today.
