history

The SCOH was founded in 1902 in Berlin-Tegel on the Oberhavel. This is how the name "Oberhavel" came about, although the association has been based on the Unterhavel in Berlin since 1922. The port is located in the northeastern part of the Unterhavel Stößensee.

A kind of club house existed from 1924 onwards. Bit by bit, it was almost entirely self-developed to its present shape and size.

In 2002 the SCOH celebrated its 100th anniversary. A year later, the association was able to acquire the property from the Berlin property fund.

District

The home port of the SCOH is the Stößensee in the northeastern part of the Unterhavel. There on the west bank, protected in a small bay, is the SCOH. The area extends south about 10 km to the famous Wannsee . The route past the Pfaueninsel , the Sacrower Heilandskirche located directly on the water and the Glienicke Bridge, which became famous as a bridge for agents in the 1960s, to the Krampnitz Lake is twice as long . Other routes are then only possible for sailors with the mast down.

Youth and education

The youth department has several dinghies, mostly optimists , but also pirates , teenagers , 420s and a laser dinghy. On these boats children and young people, but also younger adults, are trained for the sport boat license inland .
