Seifollah Samadian (2007)

Seifollah Samadian (* 1954 in Urmia ) is an Iranian photojournalist , documentary photographer , cameraman and video artist who lives in Tehran .

life and work

Samadian was a professor of photojournalism at Tehran University and is the publisher and editor-in-chief of Tassvir magazine . In 2001 he worked as a cameraman and film editor with Abbas Kiarostami on the film ABC Africa . He has participated in numerous exhibitions such as the Istanbul Biennale 2003, the Sharjah Biennale 6 and the Documenta11 .

Samadian's photographs have received several awards. In 1991 he received the World Press Photo Award .
