The place is on the state road 2434 between Schönau and Aschenroth at 286 m above sea level. NN . In 1818, Seifriedsburg formed an independent municipality with the hamlets of Schönau and Reichenbuch , which was incorporated into Gemünden am Main on July 1, 1971.
