Seka (porn actress)
Seka (born April 15, 1954 in Radford , Virginia ; actually Dorothiea Hundley Patton ) is an American porn actress who appeared in 139 films from 1978 to 1993.
Seka grew up in Virginia. In the 1970s she ran several sex shops. According to her own statement, she found the women in the pornographic magazines she sold as ugly and thought she could do better. She shot her first pornographic short film in Baltimore . Shortly thereafter, she moved to Los Angeles , where she began her film career at the production company Swedish Erotica . From 1978 to 1993 she made 139 films, including Careful, He May Be Watching , the only directorial work by Richard Pacheco that won an AVN Award . The pseudonym Seka , which she has been using since her second film, is, according to her, the name of a Serbian woman she met in Las Vegas .
With her accent, platinum blonde hair (nicknamed The Platinum Princess ), and perfect figure, she became the most popular porn star of the early 1980s. In 1978 she was divorced. After 1982, her film appearances became more sparse, and she turned to striptease appearances in America's numerous strip clubs for several years . In 1993 she tried a not very successful comeback with the film American Garter at the age of 39. It was her last appearance in a porn movie.
In 2003 the Swedish documentary Desperately Seeking Seka was released , which tries to approach the phenomenon of Seka through various interviews with well-known actors and producers in the US porn industry. Seka herself also has a detailed say.
She lived in Chicago for a long time , where she also hosted a radio talk show called Let's Talk About Sex in 1997 . In April 2005, Seka relocated near Kansas City , Missouri . From there she runs her own website.
