The August Bebel Leuna secondary school is a secondary school in the city of Leuna in Saxony-Anhalt . The school building of the school named after August Bebel is a listed building .

It is located northeast of Leuna city center on Schulstrasse , the western side of which it completely occupies.

Architecture and history

The two-storey school building was built as a settlement school from 1918 . Forms of the neo-renaissance and neo-baroque were used in the design of the spacious school . The facade of the castle-like building is plastered. The school's gymnasium is located in the middle of the wide complex. The L-shaped school wings connect to the south and north. The school rests on a high basement .

The school is listed in the local monument register under registration number 094 20782 as a monument .
