Mehmet Selçuk Dereli (born June 6, 1969 in Andırın , Kahramanmaraş Province ) is a former Turkish FIFA referee .

Career

Dereli completed his referee examination in 1993. Dereli made his debut as a referee in the Süper Lig on September 26, 1999; he directed the meeting between Antalyaspor and Adanaspor .

He was added to the list of FIFA referees in 2003 and worked for FIFA up to the (mandatory) age limit. On December 23, 2009 Dereli announced on his own website that he had ended his refereeing career.

Private

He completed his school and academic career in the cities of Kahramanmaraş , Mersin and Adana . In Adana he attended Çukurova University and successfully completed his studies there.

Before Dereli began to referee, he actively played football himself for the amateur clubs İçelspor and Mersin Camspor .
