The Selik Gulam Muztag (formerly Kashitashi ) is a mountain of the Kunlun mountain chain in the autonomous region of Xinjiang .
The 6691 m high Selik Gulam Muztag lies in the western section of the Kunlun on the southern edge of the Tarim basin . The mountain is located in a glaciated mountain range that runs in a west-east direction. The Lush River , a right tributary of the Keriya , has its headwaters on the north side of the mountain range. The south side is drained by another right tributary of the Keriya. The Selik Gulam Muztag is located 68.75 km north-northwest of Qong Muztagh East .
West summit
The west summit ( ⊙ ) of Selik Gulam Muztag is located about 500 m west-southwest of the main summit and has a height of 6650 m .
Ascent history
A four-man Japanese expedition led by Hiroshi Onishi succeeded on August 12, 2001 in the first ascent of Selik Gulam Muztag over the north ridge.
