Many years ago, Prof. Hellwich, who obeyed strict moral principles, rejected his wife Ena for wrong reasons. In order to erase any painful memories of her because he thought this was best for her, he always told his daughter Evelyn that her mother had long since died. When Evelyn one day finds letters from her that belies the father's statement, she begins to investigate the mother's whereabouts.
In fact, she can track down her mother, who's shabby lives as an aging dancer. Evelyn leaves her parents' house indignantly and takes care of her mother Ena. After the daughter, who can refute and refute the accusations made against her mother by Prof. Hellwich, nothing stands in the way of the reconciliation of the two parents. Moved by the daughter's indispensable love for her mother and the impression of seeing his wife again after such a long time, Hellwich changes his attitude. Both spouses get back together and decide to spend their old age together.

Strange People was created in the late autumn of 1916 in the Luna Film Atelier in Berlin's Friedrichstrasse 224, passed censorship in December of the same year and had its world premiere in early 1917. The four-act act was 1,293 meters long.
