Sempervivum ispartae is a species of houseleek ( Sempervivum ) in the thick-leaf family(Crassulaceae). The specific epithet ispartae refers to the occurrence of the species near Isparta in southwest Turkey.

Vegetative characteristics

Sempervivum ispartae grows as a rosette plant with a diameter of 3 to 4 centimeters. The egg-shaped to oblong lanceolate, keeled leaves are green to brownish purple. They are bald or have a few stiff hairs on the keel . The leaf blade is 15 to 20 millimeters long and about 10 millimeters wide. The edge of the leaf is covered with thick, straight 1 to 2 millimeter long eyelashes.

Generative characteristics

The flowering shoot is covered at its base with glandular, downy-haired leaves with a few stiff hairs. The nine- to eleven-fold flowers have a diameter of 2 to 3 centimeters. Their egg-shaped sepals are about 2 millimeters long. The greenish white petals are about 10 millimeters long. The stamens are white, the small, upright nectar scales are rounded and square.

Systematics and distribution

Sempervivum ispartae is common in southwestern Turkey on metamorphic rocks at heights of about 1300 meters. The species is only known from the locality of the type.

The first description by Clara Winsome Muirhead was published in 1969.
