Sentrum is an administrative division of the Norwegian capital Oslo , but does not have the status of a district. It has 1,471 inhabitants (2020) and an area of ​​1.8 km². The city center was not assigned to a district when it was subdivided in 1988 because the land allocation of the city center should continue to be the responsibility of the city council and not a district administration. The health and social services for the residents of Sentrum have been covered by the St. Hanshaugen district since the district reform in 2004 .
