Sepp Mayr (politician)

Josef "Sepp" Mayr (born January 19, 1935 in Perdonig , Eppan ) is a South Tyrolean politician.

biography

Mayr worked as an employee at the regional association of the South Tyrolean agricultural cooperatives and at the South Tyrolean farmers' health insurance fund . Politically, he represented the South Tyrolean People's Party from 1968 to 1998 in the South Tyrolean state parliament and thus also in the Trentino-South Tyrol regional council . From 1973 to 1974 Mayr was a member of the regional government , from 1974 to 1999 he was a member of the state government in the Magnago IV , Magnago V , Magnago VI , Durnwalder I and Durnwalder II cabinets . From 1984 to 1989 he was in charge of the water and energy departments as regional councilor, and from 1989 to 1999 he was responsible for agricultural issues.
