Sepp Trütsch

Sepp Trütsch (born May 23, 1949 in Schwyz ) is a former Swiss presenter of folk music programs and a singer .

Life

Sepp Trütsch completed an apprenticeship as a druggist after his school days at the Kollegium Schwyz canton school . His musical training included singing and composition . He began his media career as a freelancer at Radio Studio Bern in 1979. Trütsch worked for radio until 1982. At the same time he wrote columns for the Bern newspaper Der Bund . On August 1, 1980, he began working as an editor and presenter at SF DRS and was editor-in-chief for folklore from 1984 to 1987. He has hosted around 470 evening programs of popular hits , for example the Grand Prix of Folk Music , which he initiated himself. Other well-known programs of folk music with Sepp Trütsch as the presenter were Musig-Plausch and Fyraabig . He regularly presented programs for Swiss television until 2002, when his television career ended abruptly because SF DRS decided to discontinue all of its folk music programs.

Since then he has dedicated himself to gastronomy and organizes events. Since November 10, 1997, Sepp Trütsch has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arena Wydehof AG in Birr AG , a large catering company for events and gastronomy. In addition, he and his wife Ida Trütsch-Reichmuth have owned the hotel "Wysses Rössli" in his home town of Schwyz since September 1st, 2008. Furthermore, since October 26, 2000 he has been a member of Proyou Event AG in Schwyz, a company that operates in the event and music publishing sector. He has been the managing partner of TVM Events GmbH since August 23, 2004 and owner of Sepp Trütsch Events + Conceptions since February 14, 1997.

In addition to his catering activities, Sepp Trütsch continues to organize numerous folk events such as traditional broadcasts, carnival parades, traditional costume, wrestling and yodelling festivals or musical cruises. He also publishes numerous sound carriers. Trütsch is also active as a book and calendar author.

He has been married to Ida Trütsch-Reichmuth since 1969 and has a son (* 1970) and a daughter (* 1973) with her. He lives in Schwyz .
