Sepp Waller

Sepp Waller (born April 1, 1921 in Eger , Czechoslovakia ; † December 2, 1997 ) was a Hessian politician ( GB / BHE , GDP ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Sepp Waller worked as a commercial intern after attending elementary school, community school and business school. At the height of the Sudeten crisis , he became a member of the General SS on August 7, 1938 . From 1938 to 1945 he did military and military service. In World War II he was an officer, most recently with the rank of first lieutenant, he was wounded several times. Waller belonged u. a. an SS skull bandage . From May 2 to September 15, 1941, he attended an SS school in Braunschweig.

Waller was either a prisoner of war or internment between the end of the war and 1947. From 1947 to 1951 he was a worker in a locomotive factory and from 1951 to 1955 he was a district youth worker. 1955 to 1958 he was an employee in the Hessian Ministry of the Interior .

politics

Sepp Waller has been involved in refugee and youth work since 1948. He was a co-founder of the German Youth of the East , a member of the regional executive committee of the Federation of Expellees (BdV) , the federal assembly of the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft and federal and regional chairman of the "Young German Block", the youth organization of the All-German Party .

From October 1, 1966 to September 30, 1984, Sepp Waller was mayor of the city of Frankenberg .

From December 1, 1958 to November 30, 1966, Waller was a member of the Hessian state parliament. There he was managing director from 1960 to 1966 and from December 19, 1962 to November 30, 1966, deputy chairman of the GB / BHE parliamentary group. In 1964 he was a member of the 4th Federal Assembly .

In the 1965 federal election he ran on the list of the SPD, but was not elected to the Bundestag.
