Serafão is a place and a former municipality in northern Portugal .

Serafão belongs to the Fafe county in the Braga district . The community had an area of ​​7.8 km² and 995 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011)

On September 29, 2013, as part of the administrative reorganization in Portugal, the municipalities of Serafão and Agrela were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Agrela e Serafão . Serafão is the seat of this newly formed community.
