Serge Atakayi (born January 30, 1999 in Kinshasa ) is a Finnish football player , of Congolese origin.

Career

Serge Atakayi was born in 1999 in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo . During this time the Second Congo War raged . In 2010, he and other teammates received asylum in Finland after playing with a youth team there. From 2011 he played in the youth of FF Jaro in Jakobstad . On April 29, 2015 he made his professional debut for the club in the Veikkausliiga against Tampereen Ilves . On May 17, 2015, he became the youngest player in Veikkausliiga history to score when he was 16 years and 107 days old. In August 2016, the 17-year-old moved to the Glasgow Rangers in Scotland and signed a three-year contract.
