Sergei Alexejewitsch Denissow ( Russian Сергей Алексеевич Денисов ; born May 12, 1990 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with Sputnik Nizhny Tagil in the Wysschaja Hockey League since January 2016 .

Career

Sergei Denisov began his career as an ice hockey player in the Rus Moscow ice hockey school . In 2006 he moved to the junior division of Vitjas Chekhov , for whose second team he was active in the third-class Pervaya League from 2006 to 2008 .

In his premiere season, the 2008/09 season , the goalkeeper completed twelve games for the club's professional team in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . He had a goalscoring average of 5.38 and a catch rate of 82.9%. In the following season he was in 27 games for Vitjas Chekhov in the KHL on the ice and increased to a catch rate of 86.6 percent and was able to reduce his average goals against 3.73 goals per game.

Between 2010 and 2012 he was mostly with the Russkije Vitjasi Chekhov , the junior team of Vitjas from the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League . In the 2012/13 season, Denisov played mainly for HK Kuban Krasnodar in the Wysschaja Hockey League , but was still a substitute goalkeeper at Vitjas.

Denisov spent the 2014/15 season again at Kuban Krasnodar, the following first at THK Tver . He has been under contract with Sputnik Nizhny Tagil since January 2016 .
