Sergei Gavrilowitsch Aljokminsky

Sergei Gawrilowitsch Aljokminski ( Russian Сергей Гаврилович Алёкминский ; born September 26, 1961 in Balei , Transbaikalia region ) is a Russian Vice Admiral . He was in command of the Caspian Flotilla from 2010 to 2014 and was appointed Deputy Commander of the Eastern Military District in July 2014.

Life

Aljokminski studied in Vladivostok at the Faculty of Mine and Torpedo Armament at the Makarov Officers College of the Soviet Naval Fleet , which he graduated in 1983. He began his service in the Northern Fleet as a combat section commander on a small U-fighter and later became chief of staff of a U-fighter division. He graduated from the Naval War Academy NG Kuznetsov in 1996 and was then responsible for operational matters on the staff of the Pacific Fleet . In 2005 he successfully graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces in Moscow and then continued his work in the Pacific Fleet. From 2010 he was employed as Chief of Staff and 1st Deputy Commander of the Group of Northeastern Troops and Armed Forces of Russia . By decree of the President of the Russian Federation on September 5, 2010, he became the commander of the Caspian Flotilla. In July 2014, he was relieved of his duties and appointed as deputy commander of the troops of the Eastern Military District.

Aljokminski is married and has two children.
