Sergio Luis Donizetti (born September 7, 1964 in Campinas ) is a former Brazilian soccer player.

Career

Guarani FC and AS Bari (1983-1994)

Sergio Luis Donizetti began his career in 1983 with Guarani FC , where he was under contract until 1989. In 1989 João Paulo moved to the Italian club AS Bari , where he was active until the end of the 1993/94 season. In his debut season, he scored a total of six goals in 33 games. The following year he was at a high performance, 1990/91 he managed a goal scoring of twelve goals in 29 league games. In the three following seasons he was only used irregularly to sporadically. He was on the pitch with the team 84 times and had 22 goals in the end.

Remaining career (1994-2004)

After five years in Italy , he returned to Brazil , where he signed a contract with CR Vasco da Gama in 1994 . He played 14 league games, but he couldn't score. In 1995 he was active at two clubs, once at Goiás EC (22 games / 3 goals) and at AA Ponte Preta . As in 1995, he was also active in 1996 with two clubs, the Corinthians São Paulo and Sport Recife . At Sport Recife he scored once in 17 league games. After working for a short time at EC Bahia in 1997 , he moved to União São João EC in the 1998 season . While João Paulo was under contract for this club, he was involved in a total of five loan deals until 2002. In 1998 he played for EC Vitória (1 game / no goal), 1999 for Paulista FC and 2000 in Japan for Mito Hollyhock . He spent 2001 and 2002 at CS Alagoano and at his old club Guarani FC (16 games / 2 goals).

He ended his active career in 2004 with the clubs CA Taquaritinga and AA Internacional (Limeira) .

National team

João Paulo was almost always in the squad of the Brazilian national soccer team from 1987 to 1991 , only in 1990 he did not play an international match. Overall, he was used in 17 full international matches, in which he scored four goals.
