Sergio Nasca
Sergio Nasca (born August 1, 1937 in Rome , † August 14, 1989 there ) was an Italian film director and screenwriter .
Life
Nascas first engagement in the film industry was as an assistant director at Enzo Battaglia Idoli controluce in 1965. In the following years he worked as a manager and production manager in charge of five films to 1968th In 1973 he made his debut as the director of Il saprofita , which was controversial because of its violence and anger , with which he presented one of the few films of the time that expected a renewal of the Italian film industry, which was frozen in genre conventions. For two years he put Malia, vergine e di nome Maria, a crude comedy cor. Nasca's few films that followed showed the shift from provocative anger to bittersweet comedies that flirted with popular taste; This became clear in a script for director Giorgio Capitani and actor Lino Banfi . In 1986 he made a box-office success with the biography D'Annunzio . His last film before his untimely death after a long illness, La posta in gioco , tells the story of corruption and political intrigue with sympathy and sincerity.
