Seri (proper name: cmiique iitom ) is an isolated language in Central America . It occurs mainly in Mexico in the Sonora area. It is one of the indigenous American languages .
The basic word order of the Seri is subject-object-verb .
Kinship
There is the assumption that Seri belongs to the Hoka languages and forms a subgroup there with the extinct Salina [sln]. However, no evidence has yet been provided.
