Seth James (born in Fort Worth ) is an American country singer and guitarist .

biography

Seth James grew up with Abilene in West Texas . Even his father and grandfather were musicians. As a teenager he learned to play the guitar after having tried his hand at the piano and the trumpet. His musical career finally began in Nashville , Tennessee . James released his debut album Bad Luck and Trouble in October 2001. His second album That Kind of Man followed almost eight years later . James wrote his songs and accompanied himself on guitar. He was also the guitarist for county singer Guthrie Kennard . In 2011 he founded the group The Departed with Cody Canada and others , the follow-up band to Cross Canadian Ragweed . In the new band, James became lead guitarist. The Departed has released two albums so far, both of which made it onto the Billboard 200 .

He lives near Wichita Falls in Texas with his wife Jessica and son Charlie . James calls the Texan musician Billy Joe Shaver his role model .
