Severin Renoldner

Severin Renoldner (born November 9, 1959 in Linz ) is an Austrian theologian and former politician ( Greens ). Renoldner was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1991 to 1996 and is head of the adult education department and head of the social department in the pastoral office of the Diocese of Linz.

Life

Renoldner attended the Academic Gymnasium Linz after elementary school and passed the Matura there in 1978. Renoldner studied theology and philosophy at the University of Innsbruck and received his doctorate in 1988 , Dr. theol. and in 1999 Dr. phil.

From 1984 to 1991 Renoldner was a university assistant at the Institute for Moral Theology and Social Studies at the Theological Faculty of the University of Innsbruck, where he was a member of the Faculty Board and the Academic Senate. Since 1996 he has been involved in adult education in the Diocese of Linz and is head of the social department and the Justice - Peace - Creation department in the pastoral office. He was or is also a lecturer at the University of Innsbruck , the Catholic Theological Private University Linz , the Johannes Kepler University Linz and the Pedagogical University of the Diocese of Linz. Renoldner was Vice President of the Austrian section of Pax Christi International and a member of the Austrian Commission Iustitia et Pax . In addition, Renoldner was a member of the European Commission of the Austrian Bishops' Conference and European Commissioner for the Diocese of Linz .

Renoldner co-founded the Green Alternatives in 1982 and represented the Greens from December 9, 1991 to January 14, 1996 in the National Council.

He is also a member of the Social Commission of the European Catholic Bishops ("Comece", Brussels).
