tourism

Sevan is interesting for the tourism industry due to the mild summers and snowy winters . The untouched nature with Lake Sevan was national park in 1978 and administered by the Ministry of Nature Conservation. The animal world consists of wolf, jackal, fox and marten, snakes, lizards and a rich bird life. To protect the lake's ecosystem, fishing is strictly regulated. There are major deposits of obsidian near the city .
