Shōjo Shūmatsu Ryokō ( Japanese 少女 終末 旅行 ) is a manga series by Tsukumizu that appeared in Japan from 2014 to 2018. It is about the journey of two friends through a deserted, destroyed landscape. The manga was adapted as an anime television series in 2017 , which was released in German as Girls' Last Tour .

The two friends Chito and Yuuri, wrapped in army equipment, are on a journey with their Kettenkrad through a wintry, destroyed landscape. In order to survive, they are constantly looking for abandoned fuel and food, and ultimately for a better place to live. They rarely meet other people and are almost always alone with one another among all the remains of a lost civilization that they gradually discover. You have to rely entirely on Chito's experience and reading skills, as well as Yuuri's skill with the rifle.

The series was published from February 2014 to January 2018 in the online magazine Kurage Bunch at Shinchosha . The publisher also brought out the manga in six edited volumes. An English translation is published by Yen Press .
Anime series
In 2017, Studio White Fox produced a 12-part anime series based on the manga. The lead author was Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and the director was Takaharu Ozaki . Mitsuhiro Ogata , Noritomo Isogai , Shō Tanaka and Tomoaki Iwasaka were responsible as producers . The character design is by Mai Toda and the artistic direction was Masakazu Miyake .
The series aired in Japan from October 6 to December 22, 2017 on BS11 , TV Aichi , Tokyo MX , AT-X , Sun TV , KBS Kyōto and TVQ Kyūshū . Animax Asia showed the anime in English. The streaming platform Hidive published the series with subtitles in several languages, other platforms released it with English subtitles, and Wakanim with French subtitles. A German dubbed version was released from November 2018 to January 2019 by Universum Anime on Blu-ray and DVD.

The music for the series was composed by Kenichiro Suehiro . The song Ugoku, ugoku by Inori Minase and Yurika Kubo was used for the opening credits . The credits were underlaid with the title More One Night , also sung by Inori Minase and Yurika Kubo. In episodes 5 and 12, the final song Amadare no Uta ( 雨 だ れ の 歌 ) was from the same duo that was recorded in the middle of the fifth episode.
