The Shadows Glacier is a 14 km long valley glacier in the west of the Alaska range in Alaska (USA).
geography
The Shadows Glacier is located in the Kichatna Mountains , a sub-range of the southern Alaska range. It is located within the Denali National Preserve . The watershed of the Shadows Glacier is flanked by Gurney Peak , Kichatna Spire, and The Citadel . The glacier initially flows 8 km northwards. It then joins the Shelf Glacier coming from the left and flows northeast over the lower 6 km. The nameless outflow of the Shadows Glacier, which further west has already absorbed the melt water of the Cul de Sac Glacier , flows 3.5 km further east on the right side into the West Fork Yentna River .
